Getting to Daufuskie

Daufuskie is a bridgeless island, so the only way to get to the island is by boat. You may either take the public ferry, which departs from the Hilton Head area, or one of the various private ferries and water taxis, for which there are options departing Savannah, Bluffton, or Hilton Head.

If you are staying overnight, you may need ground transportation to your rental if you are not renting a golf cart that has drop off at the ferry embarkation. Be sure to discuss with your property manager how you will get to your rental once you arrive.

If you are visiting for the day, do be aware that the island is five miles long, and two miles wide. Getting some form of transportation such as a bike or golf cart is recommended.
